Meaningful?  To whom?  And you’d run VERY quickly into scarcity of “useful” strings, far quicker than randomly assigned numbers.  Just look at the nonsense that went on for well over a decade as new area codes were introduced.  All sorts of clamoring for “real” numbers for an area (212, 213, etc).   And before that it was the local exchange names.  Now who even cares?  Will our kids even grasp the notion of being gouged ‘toll charges’ for long distance?

 

Which still doesn’t make any of it relevant to the notion of ‘data driven’ systems.  An argument that still hasn’t offered any realistic support for itself.
