Meaningful? To whom? And youâd run VERY quickly into scarcity
of âusefulâ strings, far quicker than randomly assigned numbers. Just look
at the nonsense that went on for well over a decade as new area codes were
introduced. All sorts of clamoring for ârealâ numbers for an area (212,
213, etc). And before that it was the local exchange names.
Now who even cares? Will our kids even grasp the notion of being gouged
âtoll chargesâ for long distance?
Which still doesnât make any of it relevant to the notion of âdata drivenâ
systems. An argument that still hasnât offered any realistic support for
itself.
