We are often sent links to web pages where a Call For Participation
(CFP) for a conference, workshop, symposium, ... is described.

There are some more or less standard things like dates and times for
    * Call for Participation issued
    * Deadline for position papers, abstracts, ...
    * Acceptance notification
    * Beginning of registration period
    * Release of workshop program
    * Deadline for registration
    * Workshop Begins
    * Workshop Ends

Then obviously there is the name of the conference, its location,
some way to categorize the conference, etc.

It is very useful to have a list of CFP's and their deadline for
submission. People who are considering participation could consult
the list to target a particular conference and plan
accordingly. Within a corporation, there may be a public release
process, so within the corporation the list could have a place for
the date to submit the abstract or document for internal review.

A standard CFP format would make it much easier to compile such as list.

Is there a "standard" (in some sense of the word) schema for a CFP?

Perhaps something to augment RSS or Atom?

Paul
