What kind of software do they need for data capture?

There are certainly XML editors for writing structured documents, XForms 
for entering data in web browsers, and software for publishing XML in 
arbitrary XML structures from databases. Capturing data as XML by writing 
spreadsheets will soon be easier due to Microsoft Office, and their XML 
authoring tools will probably be easier to use for some users than some of 
the existing XML editors.

What would you need to make them happy? How much of this is matter of 
getting the tools written, as opposed to issues with XML per se?
