0. INTRODUCTIONThis specification provides the definition of the Modification of identity details message (SSIMOD) to be used in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) between trading partners involved in administration, commerce and transport. 1. SCOPE1.1. Functional DefinitionThe SSIMOD message is sent to communicate to the country of first registration the modification of identity details which took place since the last transmission related to the worker. 1.2. Field of ApplicationThe Modification of identity details message may be used for both national and international trade. It is based on universal commercial practice and is not dependent on the type of business or industry. 1.3. PrinciplesThe institution processing the modification of data related to a worker who was previously registered in another country (using the SSREGW message) sends the SSIMOD message to the country of first registration to notify these modifications. 0020 BGM, Beginning of messageA segment identifying the function of the message (modification of data related to a worker) and, if necessary, the number of the message. 0030 DTM, Date/time/periodA segment indicating the date of preparation of the message. 0040 GIS, General indicatorA segment used to identify the type of process to which the message belongs. 0050 Segment Group 1: RFF-DTMA group of segments identifying a previous message, related to the current message. 0060 RFF, ReferenceA segment giving the reference of a previously sent or received message related to the current message. 0070 DTM, Date/time/periodA segment indicating the date of a previous message whose reference is given in the above RFF segment. 0080 Segment Group 2: IND-FTX-SG3A group of segments giving the data modified by the message. One occurrence of the group gives the data to be modified and additional data allowing to identify the worker. The data given in this group are the data used to identify the worker and the old value of the data which are modified by this message, plus insurance or identification number of the worker in the related PNA segment. 0120 PNA, Party nameA segment giving a person's surnames and forenames and his function in the message (worker). 0130 ADR, AddressA segment indicating current and/or previous address of the worker. 0140 GIR, Related identification numbersA segment specifying insurance or identification numbers of the worker in the country identified in the related PNA segment. 0150 NAT, NationalityA segment specifying the nationality of the person identified in the related PNA segment. 0160 DOC, Document/message detailsA segment specifying the type and the number of an identity document (identity card or passport) belonging to the worker identified in the related PNA segment. 0170 ATT, AttributeA segment indicating the worker's natural, professional or academic titles. 0180 Segment Group 4: DTM-ADRA group of segments giving the insured person's birth or death details. 0190 DTM, Date/time/periodA segment indicating the date of birth or the date of death of the insured person. 0200 ADR, AddressA segment indicating place of birth or place of death.
