Open and Save As
Open and Save As
Use the
Open dialog box to select the file you want to open. You can also use this dialog box to open a non-XML file as an XML document using a converter, such as a converter created using Stylus Studio's Convert to XML.
Use the
Save As dialog box to
- Save a document that is the result of applying a stylesheet to an XML source document.
- Save a document under a new name.
Fields
Look in
Specifies the directory whose contents are currently displayed in the main field of the dialog box. Click the down arrow to navigate to a different directory.
URL:
Displays the name of the file you select, or you can type the name.
Files of type:
Specifies which file types can appear in the main field of the dialog box. The default is that Stylus Studio displays files with file name extensions of
.dtd,
.java,
.xml,
.xsd, and
.xsl. To change the file types Stylus Studio displays, click the down arrow and select the filter you want. To allow display of any type of file, select
All Files (*.*).
Convert to XML using adapter
Check if you want to open a non-XML file (such as a text, binary, or EDI file) using a converter, such as one you have created using Stylus Studio's Convert to XML. When you click the
Open button, Stylus Studio displays a dialog box from which you can select the converter you want to use. See

Buttons
Click
My Computer to open a file in your local file system or on a networked file system.
Click
WebDAV Server to open a file that is stored on a WebDAV server. XIS prompts you for your user name and password.
Click
FTP Server to open a file that is stored on an FTP server. XIS prompts you for your user name and password.
Click
Relational DB to open a DB to XML data source, or to build a URL to a relational database. DB to XML data sources are always saved to this file system. See

Click
XML Converters to open an XML converter, such as one you might have created using Stylus Studio's Convert to XML, for example. See

Berkeley DB XML to open a file saved in a Berkeley DB XML container. See

Project Files to browse your Stylus Studio projects.

Up to move up one level in the directory structure.
Click
New Folder create a new directory in the directory you are viewing.
Click these buttons to toggle the display of the
Name and
Size headings in the main field of the
Open dialog box.
