You can only avoid the system identifier if you are producing HTML, you cannot avoid the system identifier if you are producing XML. Use: <xsl:output method="html" doctype-public="xxxxxx"/> and a conforming processor supporting HTML should not complain. I hope this helps. . . . . . . . .
