I'm aware of that method of setting xs:variable but in the situation where you
have to set a large number of variables based on a single condition it requires
a huge replication of code.
Are there any better ways ?

Hi Anthony,
I think that will work
<xsl:variable name="variable_name_one">
<xsl:choose>
<xsl:when test=" test1='true'">value_one</xsl:when>
<xsl:when test=" test2='true'">value_two</xsl:when>
</xsl:choose>
<xsl:variable
Sorry but I don't know how to set up multiple variable
