Inside a xsl:for-each group, just as in an xsl:for-each the current node
is one of teh nodes selected by the select expression.
so after
<xsl:for-each-group select="par ...
it's a par node.
Then you do
<xsl:for-each-group select="*" g
so that is selecting children of the par node
but you have
group-ending-with="par...
and as far as I can see non of the children selected by * will be par
nodes so everything will be in the same group.
