Jumping in: although I've noticed there are workarounds, I would still echo
the feature request.
The context I would use it in is probably:
<xsl:template match="thing1|thing2">
...
</xsl:template>
Where ... is mostly -- but not completely -- the same for the two. Yes, I
could extract the common parts into a macro but I think the above is much
simpler.
