Please also come to the W3C Workshop on XML Schema 1.0 User
Experiences [1], one of whose goals is to compare notes on
interoperability problems and, we hope, increase pressure on vendors
to fix the big ones.

I have to say I'm amazed that their are commercial products out there
which claim to support W3C XML Schema but not wildcards -- that's not
one that has ever surfaced before in messages to this list or
xmlschema-dev.
