Are you serious?

Let me suggest that if you really don't know what namespaces are, then
this list is *not* the place to ask.  You don't have to know all the XML
technologies, but basic knowledge of XML and namespaces (and perhaps a
schema language of your choice :) are required background info.
Otherwise, you'll probably be ignored.  Many will treat your post about
the project you want to add to Apache with a great deal of skepticism,
if you're serious about not knowing about namespaces.

There are many intro XML books; www.cafeconleche.org has a list.

It's often a good practice when joining any mailing list to just
sit back and read for a week or two.  Understand the community you're
joining, find out what their behavior is like, etc.

Finally, your email signature is offensively long.  Limit it to four
lines.
