Precisely.  That's why "worse" in the (generally) trivial sense
of CPU/bandwidth efficiency is "better" overall ... and
why Datapower, etc. will be happy to help you throw hardware
at the problem in those situations where XML's inefficiency
leads to a bottleneck.
