Could you elaborate?  Is the XQuery WG really re-thinking WXSDL named 
types in favor of a more XDuce/RELAX NG-like pattern-based approach?   I 
think I mis-parsed something, or maybe your sense of "unfortunately" is 
not the same as mine :~)
