Im no WebDAV expert, but WebDAV is widely supported by Windows and Mac 
OS X. In fact a "modified" version of WebDAV is used by Outlook Express 
to access Hotmail accounts. Take a look at 
http://jhttpmail.sourceforge.net/httpmail.html for more info on the impl.
