Hang on a minute ...

I thought the 'Simple' in 'Simple API for XML' was supposed to
imply that the API was simple relatively inexperienced
programmers to _use_. It doesn't necessarily follow that it
must be utterly trivial to implement.

Let's face it, anyone with enough facility in Java to be able 
to build a conformant XML parser (or even a partially
conformant minimalist parser) shouldn't have a particularly
tough time implementing a simple two method factory interface.
