Section 3.3.3: "Before the value of an attribute is passed to the application or checked for validity, the XML processor must normalize it as follows: ..." Secton 2.9: Validity Constraint: Standalone Document Declaration "attributes with values subject to normalization, where the attribute appears in the document with a value which will change as a result of normalization,..." According to Section 3.3.3, the attribute's value is normalized before its checked for validity. How can the condition in Section 2.9 ever be true?
