Hello! We had a lot of fun in a somewhat holistic introduction to XSLT
course this month.
In July and August i have people interested in both courses:
* introduction to XSLT
* XSLT 3 (assumes knowledge of XSLT 2)
The introduction can be customized somewhat, and rather than trying to
teach feature by feature, tries to give a feel for XSLT, and shows real
examples. We generally look at JATS, at TEI, or a mixture, for the
examples, depending on the people on the course. Therebs also some
introduction to debugging XSLT, and, depending on your needs, on
converting XSLT 1 stylesheets to something newer.
The XSLT 3 course will really help people working with XSLT: therebs a
ton of features that increase productivity and make your stylesheets
easier to write and to maintain.
The timezone will depend on the people on the course; Finland was
difficult for me, getting up at 2am :) but alas, not so much XSLT
activity in Hawaii :)
So, July and August (not conflicting with Balisage, donbt worry!), and
there are as usual discounts for paying early. And since people always
ask, 5% for not wearing shoes :)

Custom courses are also available - e.g. introduction to XQuery,
Schematron and validation, and a one-day on the XML Ecosystem.
