Just a note about the neat structuring or organizing feature of embedding
respective mode related templates inside the mode declaration:
Functions used exclusively by the mode templates, need to be outside the
mode ...

In grouping mode processing in respective stylesheets (include/import), the
new embedding mode feature further contributes to organizing.

Yet, could/should functions feasibly be mode-scoped (or even mode-scoped &
mode-sensitive ;)?
