Oxygen, nxml mode for Emacs, and psgml mode for Emacs all have this
ability; almost certainly many other choices do, too. I can't say I
have never seen or heard of a markup-aware editor that lacks the
feature, but I can say that if I did, I forgot about it quickly. Life
is too short to try to live without that feature, or split-element, or
join-element-to-following-sibling.
