If you are sure the commented code is well formed, and you are in a situation that you can use d-o-e then you can use <xsl:for-each select="//comment()"> <xsl;value-of disable-output-escaping="yes" select="."/> </xsl:for-each> if the comments may not be well formed or you can't use d-o-e then you need to parse the string and generate elements. Most systems have extension functions to do that. (You could use htmlparse.xsl to do it in xslt but that's xslt2) David
