Sorry, Peter, I focused on you running XSLT 1.0 and missed that you
were invoking Saxon 9he.
Saxon 9he does not support extension functions. You need a commercial version of Saxon to get extension functions. When I run XSLT 1.0 I use Saxon 6.5.5. I hope this helps. . . . . . . . . . . . . .
