what I need to change is something from xsl I am reading using xpath -
I called it here :txtTargetTextforchange

<xsl:value-of select="./txtTargetTextforchange" />&#160;

If you want to apply that named template to that element then use
  <xsl:call-template name="substitute">
    <xsl:with-param name="string" select="txtTargetTextforchange"/>
  </xsl:call-template>
