Is this far more complex than a traditonal Windows or Unix executable? You better believe it. For my clients, I create an Ant target and a corresponding batch file (my clients mostly use Windows). Then running Saxon (or any other tool that needs to have a classpath specified) is very simple. Using Ant is especially handy when I have written extension functions for Saxon (often the case) and have multiple classpaths (one to Saxon and one to my extensions).
