Subject: show-destination in fo:basic-linkdoes not work with XEP

Hello:
I am trying to use show-destination with XEP to open a
link on the PDF into a new window and it does not
work.
Here is the code:
<fo:basic-link color="blue" show-destination="new"
external-destination="url(someurl)"
text-align="center"/>
Is this supported by XEP? Please advise.
