Subject: img tag and Saxon

I am working on saxon 6.5.3. If my xml has an img tag,
then output produced by saxon does not have closing
tag i.e. </img> or it contains only <img ....> which
was creating problem during FO processing.
Any suggestion how to produce end tag for img
