Actually, it says that the checked attribute is a "boolean attribute".
Confusingly, boolean attributes aren't the same as attributes with
boolean values. See
http://www.w3.org/TR/html401/intro/sgmltut.html#h-3.3.4.2 for the
definition of boolean attributes in HTML.
