have you solved it yet ? adding to what David said I had a need for a similar thing and looking in the list I came across another one of David's message here: http://www.biglist.com/lists/xsl-list/archives/200306/msg00041.html since you also want to copy attributes the final way to do it is : <xsl:template match="text"> <xsl:apply-templates mode="no-namespace-to-xhtml"/> </xsl:template> <xsl:template match="*" mode="no-namespace-to-xhtml">
<xsl:element name="{name()}" namespace="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<xsl:copy-of select="@*"/>
