Not quite. match="node()" is short for match="child::node()", so it will
only match nodes that are children of something: viz elements, text
nodes, comments, and PIs.

In other words match="node()" wont match the root node, but not
because the root node is explicitely excluded but because the
root node doesn't have a parent. Correct?
