Thanks to you and Jeni both. I eventually got that working, even though
I thought I had tried that earlier, apparently I had not. I was a little
skittish about it since what I wanted to produce was another XSLT file
which was intermediate between the "meta-stylesheet" and the final HTML
output. I was worried at what the parser might do if I told it to output
HTML when what I really wanted was XML.
