Perhaps this should be added to the MSXML FAQ at 
netcrucible? I asked this recently and know I 
answered this same question a few days later...

The answer is no (frome someone at Microsoft). 
MS did not implement extension elements (which 
is optional in the standard) and so does not 
include a way to output multiple files.
