Remember if your data set is not huge and performance is not an issue, you can achieve de-duplicating through a brute-force method: when each right element is processed, merely (!) check all right elements on the preceding:: axis to make sure this one is not a duplicate. This approach does not scale well (to put it mildly), but it is easy to code.
