I am using Xalan (Cocoon 1.8.2). I am trying to display a bullet *, and I
have tried the following:

Both are transformed to •, which displays properly in IE 5.5 but not
Netscape 4. I have seen this question asked before on this list, but never
answered:
Is there a resource for which character entities are supported by which
browsers (in particular IE and NN)?
