Save the original root node in a variable:
<xsl:variable name="root" select="/" />
Then, inside xsl:for-each (which isn't really a loop), do
<xsl:for-each select="document(...)/...">
...
<xsl:value-of select="$root/..." />
...
</xsl:for-each>
