I have this XSL:

  <xsl:variable name="str">
    <FONT COLOR="#FF0000">Red</FONT>
  </xsl:variable>
  <xsl:value-of select="$str">

Why does this output:

  Red

and not:

  <FONT COLOR="#FF0000">Red</FONT>

?
