Chris,
Which can easily be dealt with (as Mark says) with, for example, <xsl:template match="book//bookmark"> ... </xsl:template> (matching any bookmark element but only if inside a book somewhere, not loose on the table). And now that Kurt's reminded me, I do remember nested templates from early versions of the language: my guess is they came out in the wash when it was seen they don't really add anything, at the risk of confusing us (further) about the processing model. Which I think is the point! It's a scoping issue. ====================================================================== Wendell Piez mailto:wapiez@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Mulberry Technologies, Inc. http://www.mulberrytech.com 17 West Jefferson Street Direct Phone: 301/315-9635 Suite 207 Phone: 301/315-9631 Rockville, MD 20850 Fax: 301/315-8285 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mulberry Technologies: A Consultancy Specializing in SGML and XML ====================================================================== XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
