Yours is a fair question, but your example raises questions of its own.

Hi, All
Could you tell me how to apply templates except certain node?
something like:
<xsl:apply-templates select="not(/data/header)"/>
Ordinarily we'd suggest something like select="node()[not(self::header)]".
That selects all children of the context node except those that are
'header' elements.
If this isn't what you want, please be more explicit about the nodes you do
want as well as the nodes you don't want. The '/data/header' syntax might
be taken to suggest you don't want children back, but to traverse the tree
some other way (which can be done).
Cheers,
Wendell
