Hello Philip, many apologies, its just that your output is not matching mine. i have rechecked ( after davidc post) and have gotten your desired output using xt and the latest versions of xalan and xerces ( on redhat linux 6.2 ), a bug in the parser as he suggests ? quite possible, though I have had some problems in the near past with localized versions of NT being the root of the problem, when i thought it was the parser ( not possible with java though, hmmm). i would suggest having a few of the latest release parsers ( easy from http://www.netcrucible.com, u have prob already been there ! ), and seeing if u can get a result with one of em. sorry couldnt help cheers, jim XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
