I've just had a day with a product called upcast

One of our aims is to get various source documents
into XML, the uphill route :-)

This product takes in RTF and spits out xml
using a mix of their own tagset and stylenames
from the rtf.

I've managed with a fairly simple stylesheet to
ouput xml to one of our own internal DTD's.

I find it very useful.
java based, win32 and Linux.
