The solution I am now using is:

<!DOCTYPE xsl:stylesheet SYSTEM "xsl-html40s.dtd">

xsl-html40s.dtd (DTD defines a XSLT stylesheet with a result-ns of html)is provided in the Xalan download. Anyone knows if Dynamo has a dtd release for JHTML?

I am using xalan with the -validate flag. The parser complains about all the <xsl:> constructs in my xsl file, that they should be declared.
