I have found that with Saxon it is not possible to use scandinavian characters as å and æ in a comment like . This is annoying as it makes comments in my own language harder to read. With MSXML3 it works. Is it something Microsoft has added?

I cannot use them in my xsl-file!

And yes, I use encoding="ISO-8859-1"
