Subject: How to select a partial match rather than equality

Greetings
I have had success selecting nodes using an equality criteria.
for example: I check all people nodes for first_name = "Sean"
this works great.
What if Iwant to find all nodes where first_name contains the string "Se" ?
Is there a way to do this ?
