Not just curiosly. We were taking into account one of your
old letters, thinking that you are talking mostly about the problem
which is common to both usecases and makes is OK to be
solved on the level of FOs.
As to whole running heads stuff. It may be interesting to
render such ( exotic ) usecase you are talking about.
It seems that we both may get better understanding on how
easy is it to switch from the typical 'day-to-day' formatter to
XSL FO based formatter if:
You will prepare the XML testcase and the expected
result of rendering in PDF format using the existing
day-to-day formatter ( also I'm sure that you'l use some
package around the core formatter. I don't think there is
some formatter that supports such an exotoc fuctionlaity
in the core API ).
You'l send us the .xml and PDF file ( no need in any
stylesheets, macroses or scripts you use.
Just XML input and PDF output is fine ).
We'l then render it and provide our comments.
I think it's fair enough, because we'l spend much
more time solving the puzzle than you will spend
preparing the puzzle and we have no clientes who
are interested in anything like those runnig heads.
I consider it to be kind of scientific experiement. If
you have no time for preparing such an experiement -
please ignore this message - we have no time either.
It's up to you.
All the best.
Rgds.Paul.
