In the next letter there is a paper about
Runnig Heads and alikes, describing
2 ways of 'Running Headers'.
Unfortunately, there was no time to describe the
'plugin way' when renderer invokes some
plugin, providing the plugin with some internal
information about the state of formatter. The
advantage is a very clean stylesheet, because
all the logics goes to the plugin written by
user ( kind of Mozilla's XPCom ) maybe some
day some XPCom-alike thing would become
a subject for standartization by XSL FO WG.
I think it may be reasonable.
Ok - at least I have mentioned it.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure I could provide a good
feedback to any comments.
The problem is that today I have been fired from
RenderX without a notice. I don't know what'l
happen with the RenderX engine, RenderX DTD,
RenderX website and the RenderX team. I'm
in painfull process trying to understand do I
have any way or any right to continue with
XSL FOs e t.c. I'm not even sure that I have a
right to send the material I'm sending in the
next letter. I hope it'l not make any harm because
it has been prepared yesterday and I think it
is worth reading.
<offtopic>
I apologize for the off-topic, but if you have a
contract for
C++/ SQL / Java / HTML / CGI / XML / XSL / perl ( me )
and / or
there is any way to invoke some other
participators ( if not all of them) of the
former RenderX team ( 10+ years of
programming experience and because
we are a distributed team where most
participators are outside the Valley,
the pricing is more than reasonable ) -
I'l be glad to get your letters at mailto:paul@xxxxxxxxx
</offtopic>
I don't know when ( if ) I have next time to write
to the list. Best wishes and many thanks to all
( especialy to Sebastian and James for being
so patient ;-)
Let's keep headers running and FOs moving ;-)
Rgds.Paul.
