Per the specification, the declarations in the schema expression describe the components of the schema used to test constraints against the input.

Why come up with new names for things?

Hi Folks,

As you know, an XML Schema can specify a name for an element, the minimum and maximum number of occurrences, the type, and other things. I will refer to these things as properties, i.e., name, minOccurs, maxOccurs, type are properties of an element.

Given that terminology, which of these is best:

(1) Properties are expressed as attributes.

(2) Properties are implemented as attributes.

(3) Properties are represented as attributes.

(4) Something else - what?
