Right.  The Vikings wandered into Greenland, try to do what they always
did, and are sad when things don't work out.
Right, because the way they were doing it before, back home, didn't [expletive deleted] enough to make it worth the leap.

The English, on the other hand, [expletive deleted] hated it back home and were prepared to put up with all manner of nonsense to make a break from it.

I can certainly see some analogous situations with markup... Such is humanity.
