I had always taken the term DSL to refer to a processing or programming 
language rather than purely a data representation language, but it seems 
from here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain-specific_language

that the term is being used more widely, and certainly the definition in 
that article is so woolly that any XML vocabulary can be regarded as a 
DSL if you find it useful to do so.
