Wouldn't that require some knowledge or assumptions about what or who is reading the data and needs to be able to reliably pick out what is very important? e.g. for XSLT the top level element name is no more visible than
an attribute value, say For some systems it might be that the namespace (i.e. document schema) is the most visible aspect of the XML, e.g. where there is some business process engine looking out for message types.

Hi Folks,
Should all data be specified the same way?
Should data that, if misunderstood will result in the loss of human life, be specified in the same way as data about my recent vacation?
If not, then in what ways should they be specified differently?
