It may or may not be more or less useful then another format depending on your needs. Amazingly in some languages reading XML may be easier then reading text ... hmmm XQuery and XSLT come to mind. However I will digress that Roger's inference that primes are the building blocks of all integers > 1 is not quite true. Primes are interesting, but unnecessary to generate all integers. They are not axiomatic. But I do agree they have some useful and interesting properties.
