Not necessarily, Peter. Some of these are people who exactly the right experience and technical chops to ensure a successful and useful specification emerges. They can keep the signal to noise ratio low while making rapid progress with the least loss of resources. If they come to an impasse, they can always take the issue to the broader XML-Dev list and solicit input. Folks such as me are potential users of the product and not technical contributors. In my case because I've a long association with them, I've no doubt they will do well without a noisy chorus. IME, it's best to keep the numbers tight and stay off the rabbit trails that come from having to educate or bring new entrants up to speed. Leave that to XML-Dev. Good luck! len -----Original Message----- From: Rushforth, Peter [mailto:Peter.Rushforth@N...] Sent: Monday, July 16, 2012 10:04 AM To: James Clark; John Cowan Cc: David Lee; xml-dev@l... Subject: RE: Micro-XML is now a proposed W3C group Actually, you guys are "supporters". You need to sign up for the group now that it is minted, thanks to your support. Same goes for XML Hypermedia, BTW.
