The new model seems to be, stumble into problem, do Google search, download sample code, move onto next problem. People don't take 6 months to learn a technology before using it. The world has always worked like this. Only specialists don't see that. The world needs ad-hoc solutions for arbitrary problems that pop up occasionally 99% of the time.
